Diamond View Bike Skills Park
Project Update & Fundraiser
The Diamond View Park skills park project has been steadily progressing throughout the year thanks to the dedication of trail builders Jack Hill, Tom Lyons, and a strong crew of community volunteers. Their persistence, creativity, and hard work have carried this project forward through every phase from early concept shaping to the detailed construction taking place today.
Last month especially, Jack and Tom made significant progress on the park’s features. With additional dirt delivered and machinery finally available, they’ve been able to continue shaping and refining the lines. Although an official opening date is still to come, key elements are taking form, and the team hopes to complete initial testing before the fall rains arrive. The builders are taking extra care to ensure every detail lives up to what Oakridge deserves. The specialized soil being used becomes extremely durable once processed and compacted, offering a long-lasting, all-weather riding surface.
Much of this progress has been achieved through volunteer labor, with both Jack and Tom balancing their work on the park with full-time jobs. To help sustain this final push and allow the builders to dedicate more days on-site, a final fundraising effort has been launched:

Every contribution directly supports labor and helps accelerate progress toward opening.
When this fundraising round concludes, the project will transition into a fully volunteer powered phase under the newly formed Diamondview Freeriders, a community group focused on long-term stewardship, events, and rider engagement at the new park.
OTA extends a heartfelt thank you to Jack, Tom, and every volunteer who has dropped by to dig, shape, carry tools, donte or simply cheer on the effort. Your energy and enthusiasm continue to fuel this project. We can’t wait to see this unique park to the public and watch riders progress on a space built by and for our community!
More updates coming soon and thank you for your ongoing support!
